Roof hole

The roof patina is going. There are holes in the overhang and it looked like a mouse pulled insulation up there which trapped moisture.

Front Floor

All the old floor is now gone.

I may do mechanical work before welding as the access is easy now. Also with the rear floor gone its easy to work on the gear linkage.

Driver's side rear quarter.

Nose Job

Morrow must have followed plenty of gravel trucks judging by all the stone dents. Also below his right light is more shoddy repair work. I may have to weld in a new lower nose panel.

Side Panel

Look how high that bondo went.

Belly Pan

All the old floor is now gone and so too is the belly pan. I put it out with the trash and someone took it within 1/2 an hour!

Rear Hatch

I'm not sure why I removed the hatch. I tried to sandblast the whole vehicle, but the compressor did not have enough power. Vicky was worried that I'd be left with nothing after sandblasting. I guess I'll just use up a ton of that rust inhibitor.

Cab Floor

Shitty repairing and the rubber mat was providing some strength. Anyway a little rust or a lot a new panel is in order. Well will be ordered when funds allow.

More floor work

The rear corner is still solid. I guess I'll

still remove it as I will be fitting a whole new floor.

Off your rocker.

After removing 1/2" of filler I found this wafer thin repair panel over a rusty rocker.

Windows

Also I have been taking out the windows. Even this is a tough task. There is a big difference in the quality of metal under the pop-out windows and the standard windows.

Cargo Floor

Work has started on cutting away the old floor.

Doors and Doglegs

I crowbarred the driver's door open and found it to be in pretty dire straits, along with the seat floor and dogleg. The passenger dogleg isn't too bad and the door may be savable. I may have to repair both doors as I know they will be a bugger to get off.

Front Seating

The spare wheel well has a hole and the seat frames are rotted through.

Side Doors

I finally managed to get the rusty old side doors off. I have two more that will still require a little work.

Panels

The boys and I drove a few hundred miles to the other side of Florida and bought a rear quarter and a rear hatch. Both will need some work including putting another window in, but should be a lot less work than welding in the many repair panels that would otherwise be necessary.
