Starting the recovery process

Jason and I started work on the chassis. I cut out the rusty old frame, but not the full size of the new panel. Some of the old panels were still OK and it meant we could line up the new one better. Also we did not want to remove the front suspension and brake line parts yet. First thing was to jack up Morrow and then remove the wheel. There is a panel on the back attaching to the front frame which is made of thinner metal. The frame and backing panel were chiseled apart. Also there is a support bar comes down from the seat floor. This bar is under tension. I used the air chisel to separate it from the rusty backing plate. Running through the frame is a metal tube containing wiring. I'll probably replace this with a plastic tube. The frame repair panels come in two sections which connect at a slight angle. Before tack welding the new frame in I drilled holes in it to plug weld later. Next up Jason will weld them in solid.
